Agnis is an interdisciplinary designer maker who recently graduated with a first class degree in Contemporary Applied Arts from the University of Cumbria. Agnis has since set up her own business and is focusing on her textile work from her studio at home. She was also awarded Licentiate membership to the Society of Designer Craftsmen in July 2009. Agnis takes the seemingly ordinary and often overlooked and finds in them an extraordinary beauty. She is interested and inspired by her natural surroundings, especially those features that just happen to appear without any human intervention. She aims to produce work that inspires and intrigues her audience, and she continues to develop her ideas, pushing boundaries and combining processes. Agnis also like to work within the Leeds area on programs and workshops to pass on the skills she herself has gained.
